One important thing, then straight to the calendar
It takes thirty seconds to read, and it saves the whole park a very bad week.
No chemically treated waste down our sewer
Wickfield Park runs on an aerobic septic system. Live bacteria do the treating, and they're what keeps the system working for all eleven sites.
Formaldehyde-based holding tank deodorizers, bleach and other harsh chemicals kill those bacteria. When that happens the system stops treating, and fixing it is expensive, slow and unpleasant for every guest in the park — not just the one who dumped.
✓ Please use
Enzyme- or bacteria-based tank treatments. Look for "enzyme," "bio-active" or "septic safe" on the label.
✕ Please don't
Anything listing formaldehyde, plus bleach, harsh cleaners, solvents, paint, or grease.
Not sure what's already in your tank? Call us before you dump. We would far rather answer a question than rebuild a septic system.
Check-in 3 PM
Check-out is 11 AM. Arriving after dark? Let us know and we'll have your site ready and lit.
Dogs welcome
Off-leash in the fenced dog park, leashed everywhere else, and please clean up after them.
Quiet hours
Quiet is why people come out here. We keep evening quiet hours so every site stays peaceful.
